Description

Folio: 297. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter C. Grant.

First party: Lambert, son of Simon de Gresby [Grebby].

Second party: Walter Bech, son of Henry Bech of Eresby.

Place or subject: Three selions of arable land in the territory of Gresby [Grebby] on the north side of the vill, namely two selions lying between the cultivated fields of Walter Bech at Stainpites, with their whole length and width, and one selion at Wra lying between Walter's land and the land of William de Scremby, abutting upon the boundary of Scendelby [Skendleby] towards the north and upon Saueheuedland towards the south; and an empty cultivated field of seven selions upon the hill between the land of Walter Bech towards the north and the land of Richard de Halton towards the south, abutting upon the land of Walter Bech towards the east and upon the land of Robert Hillegaret towards the west. To hold to Walter and his heirs of Lambert and his heirs freely, quietly and honourably, paying yearly to Lambert and his heirs one pair of white gloves or one halfpenny on the feast of St Botolph for all secular service and exaction.
