Description

Folios: 296v-297. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter C. Grant.

First party: Richard, son of Hugh Cok of Halton.

Second party: Robert, son of Walter son of Bond of Little Steping [Little Steeping].

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land in the territory of Little Steping [Little Steeping] lying in Fenfurlangheo between the land of Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln, on both sides, and abutting towards the south upon the land of John Beck and towards the north upon the earl's land, and one butt of land lying on the west side of Neudyk between the earl's land on both sides and abutting towards the east upon Neudick and towards the west upon the earl's land, with all appurtenances, liberties and easements within the vill and outside. To hold of Richard and his heirs to Robert and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, well and in peace, paying 4d yearly to Richard and his heirs at the four terms of the year, namely 1d at each of the feasts of St Botolph, Michaelmas, Christmas and Easter, for all secular service, exaction, custom and demand.
