First party: Ralph Skelles of Halton.
Second party: Henry, son of William Kokke of Little Steping [Little Steeping].
Place or subject: One selion of arable land in the territory of Steping [Steeping] lying between the land of Henry, earl of Lincoln on the east side and the land of Beatrice, late wife of John, son of Gilbert de Halton, on the west side, and it abuts towards the south upon the common way and towards the north upon the land of the church of St Andrew of Steeping. For his service. To hold to Henry and his heirs of the earl of Lincoln, lord of the fee, and his heirs well, in peace, freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance. Paying to the earl and his heirs 2d at two terms, namely 1d at Michaelmas and 1d at the feast of St Botolph, for all secular service pertaining to that selion of land.
