First party: Walter, son of Matthew de Beningwrd [Benniworth].
Second party: Alan the deacon, son of Lewin.
Place or subject: The toft which Henry son of Robert held in Little Stepingia [Little Steeping], with the house built there and with all the croft which lies between Suthcroft and Bennescroft, and it abuts towards the west upon Wath and towards the east upon Madinesdich. For his homage and service. To hold to Alan and his assigns from Walter and his heirs in fee and inheritance freely, quietly, well and in peace. Paying yearly to Walter and his heirs 6d for all service which pertains to Walter and his heirs, namely 1½d each at the feasts of Michaelmas, Christmas, Easter and St Botolph, and doing foreign service which pertains to such land in the same vill from a free tenement.
