Description

Folio: 271. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter B. Quitclaim.

First party: Mabel, late wife of Henry, son of Isabel de Wranel [Wrangle].

Second party: Margaret de Lacy, countess of Lincoln and Pembroke.

Place or subject: One close of land which Mabel had in the vill of Wrangel [Wrangle], lying between the land of the abbot of Waltham towards the east and the land of Thomas son of Alan towards the west, abutting towards the south upon the common way and towards the north upon the land of the abbot, and the whole right and claim which Mabel had in the name of dower in three selions of land in the same vill, namely in Kyrkecroft, lying between the abbot's land on both sides, abutting towards the east upon the land of the abbot and towards the west upon the toft of John son of Meye and the toft of Henry Casteleyn, and the third part of the yearly rent of 20d, namely from John son of Meye 12d and from Henry Casteleyn 8d.
