Description

Folio: 247v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter A. Grant.

First party: William, son of Geoffrey de Geyton [Gayton].

Second party: Philip Galle.

Place or subject: Two selions of land lying in the territory of Riston [Reston] between the lands of Richard de Seys on the west side and on the east side, whose limits abut upon the land of the nuns of Staynfeld [Stainfield] towards the north and upon the land of Richard son of Gilbert towards the south. And one selion in Pittesdeyle Landes lying between the lands of Richard de Seys on both sides, whose limits abut towards the west upon the land of Richard son of Gilbert towards the east and the land of nuns of Stainfield. And one selion on the east side of Scrulb lying between the land of Richard de Seys on both sides, whose limits about upon the east upon the land of the church of the same vill and towards the west upon the land of Gilbert de Lindeseye. To hold to Philip and his heirs of William and his heirs peacefully, in inheritance, in free and pure perpetual alms, just as William was accustomed to hold that land of the church of St Margaret of Wyern [Withern]. Paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove at Michaelmas for the warranty for all services, suits of courts, exactions and demands.
