Description

Folios: 242v-243. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter A. Agreement.

First party: Henry de Lascy [Lacy], earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester, lord of Ros and Roeweynok.

Second party: Ralph de Trehamton.

Place or subject: For a trespass which he made against the king in 11 Edw I, Ralph was taken and held in the king's prison, and then was mainprised by the earl. The king by this mainprise took all Ralph's lands and tenements in Lincolnshire and Rutland into his hands for this trespass, to be delivered to the earl. The earl grants for him and his heirs to Ralph and his heirs all those lands and tenements in tenancy at his will. Ralph, his heirs or any one else for them cannot give, sell or alienate any part of this land. [Further details given].

County: Lincolnshire; Rutland.
