First party: Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester.
Second party: Alan de Claxby, clerk, and Joan, his wife, and his heirs in tail.
Place or subject: Two messuages, one bovate of land and three quarters of one bovate of land with appurtenances in Bolinbrok [Bolingbroke], excepting four selions lying between the earl's garden and his cultivated field before the door of the hospital. To hold to Alan and Joan and his heirs of the earl and his heirs freely, quietly, well and in peace with all liberties and easements within the vill and outside, belonging to those tenements, paying 23s yearly to the earl and his heirs at the four terms of the year in equal portions for all service and secular custom, exaction and demand.
