Description

Folio: 240v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter A. Quitclaim.

First party: William, son of Amfrid de Mithingesbi [Miningsby].

Second party: Alan de Harebi [Hareby], son of Walter.

Place or subject: One and a half bovates of land with appurtenances in the territory of Mithingesbi [Miningsby], which Stephen, son of Walter, his uncle, held of William, one bovate of land with appurtenances in the same territory which Gerard, his uncle, held of the same William; and in the territory of Kirkebi [East Kirkby] one half-bovate of land and thirteen selions and three perches of meadow and a fourth part of William's meadow, excepting his meadow of Esckecroft, which John, son of Gerard de Kirkeby, held of the same William, and the services and homages of these men and their heirs; and whatever right William had in these properties. William and his heirs are to do foreign service to Alan and his heirs for four bovates of land, of which seven bovates make a fourth part of one knight's fee, for the tenement which William and his heirs hold of Alan and his heirs in Mithingesbi [Miningsby] and Kyrkebi [East Kirkby]. William and his heirs will acquit the whole land which William and his father gave to the monks of Revesby in pure and perpetual alms against Alan and his heirs from all services and exactions.
