Folio: 239. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter A. Grant.

First party: Robert, son of Goscelin de Spilesby [Spilsby].

Second party: John, son of Richard de Thorp.

Place or subject: Sixteen selions and one gore (gaira) of arable land in the territory of Spilesby [Spilsby] with all appurtenances, namely two selions and one 'gaira' which lie upon Filberche between the land of the monks of the hospital of Parthenaie [Partney] and the land of Richard de Eresby, two selions lying together at Doccheland between the land of Walter son of Baldric and the land of Reiner the carpenter, one selion at Galtre which lies between the land of Walter son of Baldric and the land of William son of Gunnild, one selion at Wydale which lies between the land of the same John and the land of Walter son of Baldric, one selion at Afurlanges which lies between the land of William Herre and the lands of Richard Coupesorthe and Gossa de Eresby, two selions lying together at Manhou in the territory of Spilsby with all appurtenances between the land of the hospital of St Mary Magdalene of Partney and the land of Walter, son of Baldric de Spilesby, one selion which lies between Nunnedale Bec and the land of Walter son of Baldric, two selions lying together between Grif and the land of monks of the hospital of St Mary of Partney, three selions lying together at Nunnedale between the land of the hospital of St Mary Magdalene of Partney and the land of Richard Bonde, one selion in Innam which lies between the land of the same John and the land of Robert de Cimiterio of Spillesby, one perch of meadow in the meadows of Spilsby with all appurtenances which lie between the meadow of Reginald de Thorp and the meadow of Robert the shepherd of Spilsby, and one perch of meadow in the meadows of Spilsby with appurtenances which lies between the meadow of William Herre and the meadow of Robert de Cimiterio, namely at Ausic. For his homage and service in right of inheritance. To hold of Robert and his heirs in fee and inheritance, freely, quietly and honourably from all services, customs and exactions. Paying yearly to Robert and his heirs one penny only at Christmas.
