Place or subject: The whole land which William's father and grandfather gave to him, namely forty-two bovates of land in East and West Keal (duabus Kales), and six and a half bovates which Audenk held, two bovates and the service of Hugh de Steping, and the whole land which Walter, his father, held by the service of eight and a half knights from his ancestors. For his homage and service. To hold all these from William and his heirs freely, quietly and honourably in the vill and outside the vill, in ways, paths, plains, meadows, pastures, marshes and all places and things appurtenant to R. and his heirs by doing the service of six knights and quit from all other services, in such a way that they are to do for all these tenements no other service except the service of six knights.
