First party: John, duke of Lancaster [John of Gaunt], and Blanche, his wife.
Second party: Robert de la Mare, knight, John de Charnele, clerk, and John Neumarche, executors of the will of Henry, late duke of Lancaster [Henry of Grosmont].
Place or subject: The duke and Blanche have granted to Robert, John and John sufficient timber at a suitable time for making houses and buildings around the new collegiate church of Leicester, to be taken in the wood of Leicester by livery of the forester for the time being. The duke and Blanche grant to repay damages of £96, which his mother, the queen, demanded for the manor of Cowyk [Cowick] and the soke of Snayth [Snaith]. [Further details given].
