First party: Sampson de Swywelesho and Mabel, his wife.
Second party: John Huberd, attorney-general of Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln.
Place or subject: Robert and Mabel have quitclaimed to the earl all their right and claim in the lands and tenements which Hugh de Kersingham held in the vill of Coulinge [Cowlinge], which tenements came to them by the death of Hugh de Kersingham there. The tenements are to be the right of the earl and Margaret, his wife, and a fine is to be made. For this quitclaim John Huberd grants, in the name of the earl and Margaret, that he is bound to Robert and Mabel in twenty marks sterling. The earl and countess are to remain bound to Robert under penalty of 100 marks, to be levied from them or their goods at Robert's will, where their goods and chattels are to be found in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
