Description

Folios: 214-214v. Herefordshire. Grant.

First party: William Brian of Etone Meysy [Castle Easton], chaplain.

Second party: Henry de Lancastre [Lancaster], lord of Monem' [Monmouth].

Place or subject: Four acres of arable land and one acre of meadow lying in the fields of Etone Meysy [Castle Eaton], two acres of which lie in the east field in the cultivated field called Breche next to the land which was of Walter son of Adam, two acres lie in the west field, one acre of which lies in the cultivated field called Heytacres, next to the land which was of Richard son of Cecily, one acre lies in the cultivated field called Tunforlang next to the green way, one acre of meadow lies in the meadow called Southam next to the meadow which was of Geoffrey South towards the south. William also gave to Henry two acres and a half of land, lying in the field of Lufteshull, one and a half acres of which lie in the cultivated field called Costowe next to the land of John de Lufteshulle and the common pasture of the same vill, and one acre lies in the cultivated field between the pit of John le Waleys and the land of John de Lusteshulle. To hold to Henry and his heirs or assigns of the chief lords of the fees freely, quietly, by right of inheritance forever, paying and doing to the chief lords the services due and accustomed.
