First party: John de Grandissono [Grandison], bishop of Exeter.
Second party: John, duke of Lancaster [John of Gaunt], and Henry his son [Henry of Bolingbroke].
Place or subject: Whereas John, duke of Lancaster, and Blanche, late his wife, kinswoman of the bishop, recovered against him the manors of Asperton [Ashperton] and Stretton [Stretton Grandison] as her right before Robert de Thorp and his fellow justices of the Bench at Westminster, which manors the duke now holds by the law of England of the inheritance of Henry, his son, and son and heir of Blanche, the bishop has quitclaimed to the duke and Henry and Henry's assigns the whole claim of therein forever.
