Place or subject: The manors of Asperton [Ashperton] and Stratton [Stretton Grandison]. For his homage and service. To hold to William and his heirs in tail with houses, gardens, park, wood, fishponds, ditches, rents, services, villeinages, wards, reliefs, marriages, escheats, demesnes, meadows, pastures and all other appurtenances and liberties, of Edmund and his heirs freely, quietly, well, in peace and forever, doing to Edmund and his heirs the service of half a knight's fee for all service. If it happens that William dies without heirs in tail, these manors are to revert to Edmund and his heirs.
