First party: Henry, prior of Motesfont [Mottisfont], and the convent there.

Place or subject: The prior and convent and their successors are held and obliged to make an anniversary day for the death of the late Henry de Cadurc' [Chaworth] on the feast-day of St Lawrence [10 August] with nine readings and chanting forever. Since Patrick, his brother, for the same reason has granted one acre of arable land in his manor of Berewyk [Berwick St James], together with the advowson of the church of the same manor, to the prior and convent and their church of Motesfont [Mottisfont] in charity, the prior and convent grant that, if it happens that this church is vacant before it is granted to them to their own proper uses, at the instance of Patrick, they will present a suitable person.
