Place or subject: Hawise granted for herself and her heirs to William and his heirs or assigns that it will lawful for him to freely and quietly plough and sow the whole of the land called Norzlongelond and Sorte Breche, and the whole croft each year, or part at his will and that of his heirs without any challenge from Hawise or her heirs or anyone in their name, and to take away the fruits issuing from those lands. Except that in the year in which the cultivated field called la Hele is not sown, Hawise and her heirs and her men of Hanedon [Hannington] will have one free right of way next to the land of Lusteshulle, which extends in length as far as that ditch called Yngrede, and it will have the width of half an acre.
