Description

Folio: 181. Hampshire. Final concord.

First party: William Briewer' [Brewer].

Second party: Philip de Lya and Isabel, his wife.

Place or subject: One hide of land with appurtenances in Standen [Standon]. Whereupon a plea was summoned between them in court, namely that Philip and Isabel, his wife, acknowledged this land to be the right and inheritance of William Brewer and his heirs, and they quitclaimed for them and their heirs to William and his heirs forever, to hold of the king in chief. For this quitclaim William Brewer gave Philip and Isabel 100s sterling. This concord was made before Walter Walerand, whom Isabel called to warrant for that land.

County: [Hampshire].

Additional people: Made before G. fitz Peter; William de Warenne; Stephen de Turenh' [Thurnham]; Richard de Heriet [Herriard]; Simon de Pateshull [Pattishall]; John de Gerstling [Guestling]; and Richard Flandr', justices.
