Place or subject: William has granted to Patrick, with Isabel, his daughter in free marriage, the whole of his manor of Hertleye [Hartley Mauditt] for £60 worth of land, with the advowson of the church, knights' fees, woods, meadows, pastures, waters, plains, ways, paths, homages, rents and services of both freeholders and villeins, wards, reliefs, escheats and all other appurtenances and liberties. To hold of William and his heirs to Patrick and Isabel and their heirs in tail freely, quietly, peacefully and in inheritance forever. If Patrick and Isabel die without heirs in tail, then the premises are to revert to William and his heirs without any opposition.
