Place or subject: The manor of Westone [Weston Patrick], which was of Patrick, his father, with all appurtenances in homages, services, lands, tenements, woods, meadows, ways and paths and all other things which can fall in by right of inheritance or by any other case to Payn in that manor. For his homage and service. To hold to Patrick, his heirs or assigns from Payn and his heirs or assigns, excepting religious houses and Judaism, freely, quietly, entirely and peacefully, paying yearly to Payn, his heirs or assigns one pair of white gloves on Easter Day for all service, suit of court and all secular exaction and demand pertaining to Payn and his heirs, saving royal and foreign.
