Folios: 170-170v. Hampshire. Agreement.
First party: William de Percy.
Second party: Margaret de la Forth, one of the heirs of lord William Briwer' [Brewer].
Place or subject: Agreement about the lands which escheated to William de Percy and his daughters, which he had of Joan, daughter of William Brewer, and their heirs, namely from the lands concerning which there had been a dispute between them since William de Percy said that it pertained to the manor of Esly [Ashley], and Margaret said that it pertained to the manor of Sunburn [King's Somborne], namely concerning the park of la Rugge, concerning which there had been a dispute between them. And concerning a certain meadow which lies within the close of the park of King's Somborne called Howede [How Wood], which meadow is called the marsh of Drayton [Houghton Drayton]. And concerning one meadow of Fisseflethe and the land of Standen. And concerning the fishpond of Cymbrebyr'. It is agreed between them concerning the park of la Rugge that William de Percy and his daughters and their heirs will have all the east side with the land that pertained to Sumburn [King's Somborne], which land Margaret de la Forthe and her heirs quitclaimed to William de Percy and his daughters and their heirs. And Margaret and her heirs will have the whole part towards the west, just as the boundary extends between Esly [Ashley] and King's Somborne, and just as the progession is made by their men. And William de Percy, his daughters and their heirs ought to enclose a moiety of that boundary with a fence and ditch, in such a way that a wild beast cannot go across. And the said Margaret de la Forthe and her heirs ought to enclose the other moiety with a fence and ditch, so that wild beasts cannot go across. And the meadow called the marsh of Houghton Drayton is to remain to Margaret de la Forthe and her heirs. And the meadow of Fisseflethe is to remain to William de Percy and his daughters and their heirs. And the land of Standen is partitioned between them, in such a way that William de Percy, his daughters and their heirs will have a moiety to the north-east towards Hameledone. And Margaret de la Forthe and her heirs will have another moiety at the head down towards Putta, which extends towards the land of the prior of Wynton' [Winchester], just as is the progression made between them by their men through the wood and land. And the fishpond of Tymbrebury is to remain entirely to William de Percy, his daughters and their heirs, and both of them have given faith to keep these agreements faithfully.
County: [Hampshire].
