First party: Godfrey Foliambe, knight, and William Buhgkebrigge, attorney-generals of the duke of Lancaster.
Second party: Richard Lillyng [Lilling] and Elizabeth, his wife.
Place or subject: Richard and Elizabeth acknowledged a moiety of the manor of Chepynglamborne [Chipping Lambourn], together with a moiety of the hundred of Chepynglamborne [Chipping Lambourn] with appurtenances, to be the right of Godfrey and William in the king's court, and they are to levy a fine at the costs of Godfrey and William. For which acknowledgement Godfrey and William have granted Richard and Elizabeth that moiety of the manor and hundred with the appurtenances for the term of their lives, and after their deaths the remainder to John, duke of Lancaster [John of Gaunt], and Blanche, his wife, and John's heirs forever. [Further details given]. Also mentions the chase and park of Aldeborne [Aldbourne], and the wardship and marriage of Alice, daughter and heir of William Curson, with all the lands and tenements which William held of the duke in Westlokyng [West Lockinge], with the reversion of dower. Also the wardship and marriage of the daughter and heir of John Helmes, with all lands and tenements and reversions which John held on the day of his death from Maud, formerly countess of Henaud [Hainault], and the duke in the parish of Hungerford. Richard has given £20 to the lord of Lancaster. And Richard is to have a robe every year from the duke for the term of his life for his livery. And the duke and duchess are to have all the profit of the pastures of large beasts and sheep in that vill after Michaelmas next forever. Richard and Elizabeth are to find shepherds and keepers of the large beasts and provide their liveries and stipends. The duke and duchess are to have all the profit of rabbits and warren forever, and for the term of their lives forty braces of rabbits yearly. Richard and Elizabeth are to have housebote and haybote and large timber for doing repairs of houses of the manor. [Further details given]
