First party: William de Paumes, lord of Nabourn [Naburn].
Second party: Thomas, earl of Lancaster and Leicester, steward of England.
Place or subject: The homages and services which John, son of John de Broughton holds of William by reason of the lands and tenements he holds in Broughton and Neunton [Newington] near to Bannebury [Banbury]. To hold to the earl and his heirs and assigns freely and quietly of the chief lords of the fee by the appurtenant services forever. William has also granted the marriage of John and his heirs and the wardship of John's body, together with the wardship of the lands and tenements which John holds of William, on the day of the completion of this deed in those vills of Broughton and Neunton [Newington], to hold to the earl, his heirs and assigns until John's legal age. [Further details given]. For this grant the earl gave William 100 marks in advance.
