Place or subject: Because it had been discussed in Gascony concerning the marriage of Henry, Edmund's son and heir, and Margaret, William's daughter and heir, and it has been agreed on that day with the consent of the parties, William has granted Margaret, his daughter and heir, to Henry, and with her in free marriage her manors of Burencestre [Bicester] and Middelton [Middleton Stoney], with all homages, rents, services and customs and all other appurtenances without any reservation. Edmund also granted to Margaret during her whole life, in order to dower her, if it happens that Henry should die, his manors of Skyppeys and Scales with all homages, rents, services, customs and appurtenances.
