Place or subject: Robert has bound himself to the earl in £1,000 sterling, to be paid in the castle of Tuttebur [Tutbury] on the day of St Bartholomew next after the completion of this deed to the earl or his attorney. Towards making which payment well and faithfull Robert has bound himself, his heirs and executors and all his goods, moveable and immoveable, to the distress, etc.
