Folio: 113. Sixty charters or muniments about Shenston [Shenstone], Staffordshire, in one box, marked by the letter S. Indenture of agreement.
First party: Henry de Lancaster, earl of Derby, and John Gynewell.
Second party: Robert de Grendone [Grendon].
Place or subject: Robert is to enfeoff the earl in the manor of Shenton [Shenstone] with all appurtenances. To have to him and his heirs forever, and to levy a fine in the king's court, etc. Robert has given to Roger de Chetewynd and Joan, his wife, an annuity of £20, to be received from the manor of Grendon for the term of their lives by one quitclaim which concerns the manors of Shenstone and Grendon. [Further details given]. Robert is not to alienate or do anything else with those lands and tenements without the earl's assent.
