Description

Folios: 94v-95. Staffordshire. Quitclaim.

First party: William de Rideware, living by Tuttebur' [Tutbury].

Second party: Thomas, earl of Lancaster.

Place or subject: All William's right and claim in that ditch which the earl caused to be made from his ground around his park called Castelhay. For this quitclaim the earl gave William 40s sterling in advance.

County: [Staffordshire].

Additional people: Witnesses: Michael de Meledon, then steward of [Tutbury; John de Myners; William de Hulton of Tutbury; Henry le Brazour; Henry le Ferrour of the same; Robert de Cotene of the same; and Richard Hacon of the same.

Dated at Tutbury.
