Place or subject: Twenty acres of assart with appurtenances below the forest of Nedwode [Needwood] between Ailwardiscy and the boundaries of the assart of Adam de Ridewar, which the earl gave to him by his charter. For his homage and service. To hold of William and his heirs to Henry and his heirs freely, quietly and peacefully in fee and inheritance with all liberties and free commons and easements pertaining to such land, paying 16s a year of silver and 8d at the two terms of the year, namely a moiety at the feast of St Mary in March and the other moiety at Michaelmas.
