Place or subject: Thirty acres of the earl's waste in his forest of Duffeld [Duffield] in the ward of Coldebrok by the perch of 6½ feet. For his good service. To hold to Thomas and his heirs in tail freely, quietly, well and in peace, paying yearly to the earl and his heirs 3d for each acre at the usual terms in the earl's manor of Duffeld [Duffeild] for all services. If Thomas dies without heirs in tail, then those thirty acres are to return to the earl and his heirs.
