Description

Folios: 83-83v. Derbyshire. Final concord.

First party: Edmund, the king's brother [Edmund of Lancaster].

Second party: William de Cugeho.

Place or subject: One penny of rent with appurtenances in Wllauston [Wollaston], concerning which a plea of covenant was summoned between them in the same court, namely that William acknowledged that rent with appurtenances, together with the homage and whole service of William de Bray and his heirs from the whole tenement, which he previously held of William de Cugeho in the same vill, to be the right of Edmund, And that he handed over to him in the same court. To hold to Edmund and his heirs of the chief lords of that fee by the services which pertain to that rent forever. For this concord Edmund gave to William one sparrowhawk. This concord was made in the presence of William de Bray and with him granting it and acknowledging that he holds of Edmund two knights' fees in the same vill. And he did fealty to Edmund in the same court.

Additional people: Made before Thomas de Weylaund, John de Lovetot, William de Brunton, Roger de Leycestre [Leicester] and Elias de Bekyngham [Beckingham], justices.

Made in the king's court at Westminster.
