Place or subject: The heirs of Wildegos have shown by their petition that they and their ancestors have long held the bailiwick of Apeltr' [Appletree], paying half a mark a year, as appears by a charter of Earl Ferrers. The earl commands William to inquire solemnly into that charge of two marks.
