First party: Walter, bishop of Coventry and Lichfield [Walter Langton].
Second party: Thomas, earl of Lancaster and Leicester, steward of England.
Place or subject: The manor of Wirkesworth [Wirksworth] with appurtenances, and also all lands and tenements, rents and services which the bishop had in the vill of Middelton [Middleton by Wirksworth] on the day of the completion of this charter. To hold without any reservation to the earl, his heirs and assigns of the chief lords of the fee by the services due and accustomed forever.
