Place or subject: The king's manor of Gunthorp' [Gunthorpe], with soke and all other its appurtenances, for 100 marks of land, in part of the assignment of £400 of land which the king was held to assign to them in escheats or other of the king's lands, for £400 a year, which they were accustomed to receive from the king's house by the king's charters. For their homage and service. To hold to the earl and countess and their heirs of the king and his heirs in fee and inheritance freely and quietly, well and in peace forever, with all appurtenances, paying yearly to the king and his heirs one goshawk at the Exchequer at Michaelmas for all service, suit of court, custom and exaction.
