Folio: 56v. Leicestershire. Quitclaim.
First party: Henry, earl of Lancaster and Leicester, steward of England.
Second party: John de Forstebury.
Place or subject: Whereas John de Forsteby, the earl's huntsman, has purchased one plot of land in the town of Leicester outside the south gate lying between the tenements of Thomas Task on the one side and Alice atte Hawe on the other side, the earl has quitclaimed to him and his heirs all manner of rents and services due from that plot, except for 12d of rent a year, at the usual terms for all other services.
County: [Leicestershire].
Additional people: Witnesses: William de Walkinton; Ralph de Beston; John de Blount; Geoffrey de Walcote; and Simon Pakemon, steward of Leicester.
Dated at the castle of Kenilworth.
