Second party: Thomas, earl of Lancaster and Leicester, steward of England.
Place or subject: All their right in a certain close which is called le Thorneclos in the vill of Thornton with appurtenances, just as it is enclosed by a ditch and hedge. Which close the abbot and convent had of the gift and feoffment of Anthony, bishop of Durham [Anthony Bek]. Saving to the earl his right of tithes there belonging to his church of Thornton.
