Place or subject: The custody of the gate of the castle of Leicester with fees, corrodies and all liberties and profits pertaining to the custody. To hold to the earl and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, entirely, well and in peace by right of inheritance forever, in such a way that neither Peter nor his heirs can exact or claim any right or claim in that custody. For this grant the earl gave Peter 10 marks sterling in advance.
