First party: William son of Thomas.
Second party: Edmund, son of Henry III [Edmund of Lancaster].
Place or subject: 20 marks of yearly rent with appurtenances, which he was accustomed to receive from the reeveship of his vill of Leycestre [Leicester] and which he had from the grant of Richard Syward, and which that Richard had from the gift of Simon de Montfort, late earl of Leicester. For 160 marks sterling. To have, receive and retain to Edmund and his heirs or assigns freely and quietly forever. If it happens Edmund, his heirs or assigns are impleaded for the annual rent at any time, then William and his heirs shall warrant that rent to Edmund and his heirs or assigns against all men.
