Folio: 46. Leicestershire. Grant.
First party: Robert, earl of Leicester.
Second party: William de Chiray.
Place or subject: The earl grants to William for his homage, service and allegiance £10 of land, which the earl had in Burton [Burton Lazars], for £10 sterling in land which he owed to him. To hold to William and his heirs of the earl and his heirs in fee and inheritance by a moiety of the service of one knight, on condition that if an escheat comes to the earl that he shall give to William a reasonable exchange. And then the £10 of land will return from his lordship of Burton into the earl's hands to do his will with it.
