Second party: Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester.
Place or subject: The island of Stepeholm [Steep Holm] and the advowson of the church of Breen [Brean] with appurtenances, which descended to John by right of inheritance by the death of Thomas Bek, late bishop of St David's, John's brother. To hold to Henry and his heirs of the chief lords of that fee by the services pertaining to those tenements forever. Also the whole of that land with appurtenances which Robert de Berkeley holds for his life in the vills of Uppehull [Uphill] and Crucheston from John's inheritance, and which after Robert's death ought to revert to John and his heirs, is to remain to Henry and his heirs.
