Place or subject: Henry and the others have bound themselves to Edmund in £50,000 for the delivery of the body of Robert de Ferrers, son of the late William de Ferrers, earl of Derbeye [Derby], from prison and the redemption of the same man and of his lands which passed to the hands of the king by Robert's forfeiture, and which the king had given to Edmund by his charter, paying to Edmund or his heirs or assigns in the quindene of the feast of St John the Baptist next to come at the New Temple, London, unless Robert pays within the term that sum of money to Edmund or otherwise makes satisfaction thereof. And towards making this payment, they bind themselves, their heirs and their lands and tenements and all their goods, moveable and immoveable, wherever they will be, in such a way that, if they make default in the payment of this money in total or in part at the said term and place, they grant that Edward, the first-born son of the king, can distrain them by all their lands, tenements and goods, moveable and immoveable, towards making the payment.
