Folio: 11v. Derby; Ferrers. Grant.
First party: Edmund, son of Henry III and brother of Edward I [Edmund of Lancaster].
Second party: Eleanor, formerly the wife of Robert de Ferrers, late earl of Derby.
Place or subject: The whole of Edmund's vill of Gumecestre [Godmanchester] with appurtenances. To hold of Edmund and his heirs to Eleanor for the whole of her life as freely and entirely as Edmund had it from the gift of his father without any reservation, paying yearly for this to Edmund and his heirs during her life one penny at Easter for all services, customs, exactions and demands. After her death the vill of Gumecestre [Godmanchester] is to revert, as entirely as she received it from Edmund, to him and his heirs without opposition, impediment or reclaim of her heirs.
