Second party: Edmund, son of Henry III [Edmund of Lancaster].
Place or subject: 40s of yearly rent with appurtenances, which John had in the mills of Mersington [Marchington], and 20s of yearly rent with appurtenances, which John had in the mills of Barthon [Barton under Needwood]. To hold to Edmund and his heirs or assigns of the chief lords of the fee freely, quietly, well and in peace and by right of inheritance forever, doing the services due and accustomed for this. For this grant Edmund gave John 40 marks of sterling.
