Second party: The abbots, priors, barons, knights, freemen and all other tenants of the lands and tenements which were of Robert de Ferrers, late earl of Derby.
Place or subject: Because Henry III has given to Edmund his son [Edmund of Lancaster] castles and all lands and tenements with wards, reliefs, escheats, homages, services, knights' fees, advowsons of churches and all other appurtenances which were of Robert, Henry commands these abbots and the others that they are to be attentive and answerable to Edmund, as if to their lord, in all things which pertain to the premises from henceforth.
