First party: Walter de Hurleg'.
Second party: Robert de Ferrers, earl of Derby.
Place or subject: Walter has granted to the earl, for his service and for five marks which the earl gave him in advance, one yardland in the territory of Stapilford [Stapleford], namely one bovate of land which Robert White (Albus) at one time held, and another bovate of land which John de Ferrers once held, with the toft and croft, which Roger the reeve once held of Robert de Hurleg'. To hold to Robert and his heirs forever freely, quietly and entirely with all appurtenances, liberties and easements within the vill of Stapilford [Stapleford] and outside, paying thereupon yearly to Walter and his heirs one pair of white gloves or one half penny at Easter for all secular service, exaction, custom, suit of courts and demand.
