First party: William de Ferrers, son of William de Ferrers, earl of Derby.
Second party: Robert de Punchardon, knight.
Place or subject: All his mills of Russendene [Rushden] with the whole suit and with all other appurtenances pertaining to those mills without any reservation. To hold to Robert and his heirs freely and quielty and in peace, and in fee with all liberties and easements pertaining to thosemills, performing for this to Robert and his heirs for the same mills or for an exchange, if they make anything to the same men, the fortieth part of one knight's fee. And it is to be known that, when William or his heirs make a reasonable exchange of ten marcates of land or rents in a suitable place to Robert or his heirs, Robert or his heirs are held to hand over the mills with the whole suit and appurtenances to William or his heirs without any impediment, reservation or opposition.
