Description

Folios: 3v-4. Derby; Ferrers. Grant.

First party: Geoffrey, son of Andrew Selveyn of Hasilovere [Haselour].

Second party: Edmund, son of Henry III.

Place or subject: The homage and service of William de Esseby and his heirs from all the lands and tenements, which the father of the same William held of his father in Coundisleye; and the homage and service of John le Despenser and his heirs from all the lands and tenements, which the same John held of his said father in the same, together with the farms and rents of the same, viz from William de Esseby and his heirs 16s 6d of yearly rent; from the said John and his heirs 18d of yearly rent to received from the said lands and tenements in Coundisleye at the terms contained in charters, which they have from Geoffrey's ancestors. The homages and services are to be held to hold to Edmund and his heirs or assigns with all appurtenances, both in rents, wards, reliefs and escheats and in all other customs and demands without any reservation, freely, quietly and in inheritance forever.
