Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of New York.
Captured ship: Hawke (master Moses Yell).
History: an American schooner, bound from Chester River, Pennsylvania to St Eustatius, laden with flour, tobacco; taken on 28 July 1778 in about 19 miles from Cape Henlopen by HMS Solebay (Thomas Symonds commanding) and brought into New York.
Appellant: The captor.
Respondent: Samuel Fairlamb, owner of the ship and cargo.
Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 18 March 1780.
