Folios 386-392. Copy of a letter from Meyercron [Henning Meyer de Meyercron, Danish ambassador to France] to the King of Denmark, regarding the delay in payment of the monthly subsidy by the French, pending further clarification of the position regarding the treaty between Denmark, England and the States General. As a mark of the French King's good intentions, Monsieur Bonrepos [Bonrepaus; François d'Usson de (1650-1719); French diplomat] would be dispatched with instructions on the matter. Meyercron insisted that France could not base its actions to delay a solemn treaty obligation on false reports and Monsieur de Pomponne undertook to report this back to the French King. Bonrepos had spoken to Meyercron about the matter of Gottorp in the sense that the King of France would not want there to be a war in the North and with Sweden, not believing that that would suit either one or the other. Discussion of trade relations with France. Meyercron reports that the French plenipotentiaries for peace say they are awaiting their passports and speculates on the progress towards peace.
