Folios 308-311. Copy of a letter from Meyercron [Henning Meyer de Meyercron, Danish ambassador to France?] to [Jessen?] discussing the obstacles to peace imputed to the Emperor and suggesting that they may deal more surely with England and Holland on the principal conditions, and the Emperor will need then to fall in line. Refers to the long held belief that to achieve a peace it would be necessary to address 'ce Prince' [the Prince of Orange?], who is the main driver ('premier mobile') for the other allies; they would never be finished at the Imperial Court. He has just learned that Callieres [François de Callières, special envoy of France] has said that the Emperor's claims on the preliminaries were not approved in Holland and that if he did not desist in this, they would pursue the treaty and name a location for the Assembly without him. In the meantime, negotiations continued and a Treaty of trade between France and Holland was already well advanced.
